David Beldman

David Beldman is an assistant professor of Religion and Theology at Redeemer University College. He has written on the wisdom literature, biblical theology, and literary approaches to biblical interpretation. He is the author of Deserting the King: The Book of Judges (Lexham Press) and The Completion of Judges: Strategies of Ending in Judges 17-21 (Eisenbrauns, April 2017), and is currently writing a commentary on Judges. He is particularly interested in the notion of God as king in the HB/OT and its implications, as well as exploring the HB/OT as a source for public theology and political philosophy/theology.
