Simona Azzan

Simona Azzan is a PhD candidate in Philosophy and Human Sciences at the University of Milan. Her research concerns the relevance of theological and religious topics in Thomas Hobbes’s political theory and the role of the biblical exegesis in the Third and the Fourth part of Leviathan. In her dissertation, she analyses how, in his account on the Bible, Hobbes refers not only to orthodox and conventional Christian belief but also to the commentary of the Hebrew Bible. She is also interested in the topics of theodicy and eschatology to which she has dedicated consistent part of her studies.
