James Arcadi

James Arcadi is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Analytic Theology Project at Fuller Theological Seminary. He recently completed his PhD in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Bristol where he focused on a philosophical explication of the doctrine of the Eucharist. His articles have appeared in Religious Studies and The Heythrop Journal. Prior to his doctoral studies, James received a ThM and MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a BA from Biola University. He taught history, theology, and writing for seven years at Gordon College where he was also a Visiting Fellow in the Center for Faith and Inquiry. Alongside his academic work, James is an ordained priest in the Anglican Church in North America having recently served at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Danvers, Massachusetts.

His current project at the Herzl Institute focuses on the concept of holiness and is entitled, Belonging to the Lord: Consecration, Divine presence, and the Metaphysics of Holiness in the Hebrew Scriptures.
