Welcome to Bibleandphilosophy.org, the website (“Site”) for the Jewish Philosophical Theology Project at The Institute for Advanced Studies at the Herzl Institute, “JPT” or “we”. This is the agreement that governs your use of Bibleandphilosophy.org (“User Agreement”). Please read the User Agreement and Privacy Policy carefully, because by visiting or using the Site, you agree to follow the rules contained in them. From time to time, we may modify our User Agreement, including our Privacy Policy, so please review them periodically for changes. Subject to the law of copyright, you may not copy, redistribute, retransmit, sell or publish protected material, without the prior written consent of The Institute for Advanced Studies at the Herzl Institute.
Appropriate use, as defined by law, may be made of material on this website, including quotation and attribution of protected material.

You may not link to the home page of Bibleandphilosophy.org in any way that might cast The Institute for Advanced Studies at the Herzl Institute in a false or misleading light. You may not frame Bibleandphilosophy.org content so that it is viewed on another site. You may not use metatags or any other “hidden text” that incorporates the name JPT, Bibleandphilosophy, Shalem, “The Institute for Advanced Studies at the Herzl Institute” or the Trademarks without our express written consent.
Online Purchases
Following an online purchase, immediate e-mail confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address provided. Changes to and cancellations of online bookings for conferences and events may be made up to a month prior to the conference for full refund. Online bookings for conferences and events cancelled less than 30 days before the event will not be eligible for a refund. In the event that the conference or event is cancelled by the Herzl Institute, all registration fees will be refunded. For online bookings for conferences and events cancelations, please contact gavriell@herzlinstitute.org .

Our Site contains links to other web sites that contain information we think might interest you or from which you can order books. We have no control over these sites or their content. Remember that when you click on a link and leave Bibleandphilosophy.org for another site, you should read that site’s terms of use and privacy policy before using the site.

Although JPT at The Institute for Advanced Studies at the Herzl Institute intends to take reasonable steps to prevent the introduction of viruses, worms, “Trojan Horses” or other destructive materials to our site, we do not guarantee or warrant that our site or materials that may be downloaded from it are free from such destructive features. We are not liable for any damage or harm attributable to such features.
Limitation of Liability
The Institute for Advanced Studies at the Herzl Institute and our officers, Directors and Employees are not liable for any claim, loss or injury based on errors, omissions, interruptions or other inaccuracies in our site, nor for any claim, loss or injury that results your use of our site or your breach of any provision of this user agreement.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate this User Agreement, including its Privacy Policy section, at any time without notice for any reason, including for a user’s violation of any of the User Agreement provisions. The Limitation of Liability and Governing Law sections of this User Agreement survive any termination.
Agreement is Governed by the Laws of Israel
This User Agreement, including its Privacy Policy, and any claim or dispute relating to it is governed by the laws of Israel applicable to contracts made and performed there without regard to its conflicts of law principles. Any legal disputes pertaining to this website will be resolved in Jerusalem district courts.
Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is deemed unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision will be deemed severed and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provision.
Privacy Policy
We know that you care how information about you is used and shared. This Privacy Policy describes the way that we collect and handle information we collect online from users of the Bibleandphilosophy.org site. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the User Agreement that governs the use of Bibleandphilosophy.org. This section describes the types of information we collect and the purpose for collection.
Personally identifying information
We collect personally identifying information that you voluntarily submit in order to receive email alerts or postal mailings with our newsletter, program information, and information about our other services, to sign up for one of our events, and to make purchases online. To receive information, or sign up for the newsletter, we ask that you submit a few personal details. We use the personally identifiable information you submit solely to fulfill your requests and will not share your personal information with third parties. If you make purchases through Bibleandphilosophy.org, we collect your credit card information in addition to your name and addresses for billing and mailing. We retain your credit card information for only so long as we are required to do so by the applicable bank, after which time we will dispose of it in a secure manner.
Anonymous information
From our server, we automatically collect certain anonymous information, such as the number of users visiting each page of Bibleandphilosophy.org, the IP address of each user’s computer, the browser each user employs, and the sites from which users link to Bibleandphilosophy.org. We may also use cookies to track traffic on specific areas of Bibleandphilosophy.org. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognize your computer. If you choose, you can remove our cookies by using the disabling function on your Internet browser. Transfer of Information to Israel

JPT at The Institute for Advanced Studies at the Herzl Institute shares only names and mailing addresses and restricts disclosure solely to vendors responsible for mailing information. In the event of a transfer of ownership The Institute for Advanced Studies at the Herzl Institute, such as merger, acquisition, or any form of sale, transfer, restructuring, reorganization or divestiture of some or all of our assets, we reserve the right to transfer your personal information to such acquirer.
We may disclose and use personally identifiable information in special circumstances when it is necessary to enforce our User Agreement or this Privacy Policy, or when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires us to disclose your personal information to third parties.
